Halfgrass blur the lines somewhere between Bluegrass and Contemporary Jazz. Initially inspired by Bill Frisell’s ground breaking album, “Nashville” and drawing from other influences such as Django Reinhardt, this local Shuswap quintet presents a collection of original works, genre-bending interpretations and compelling standards. 


Halfgrass is Jake Verburg (guitar), Jordan Dick (guitar), Blair Shier (guitar), James Clark (mandolin) and Dan Smith (upright bass) with special guest, Megan Abel (vocals).
