Try a little kindness
We are sure it’s a country song, sung by someone, somewhere. That said, our world needs more kindness. It is in the quality and experience of our relationships that love and grace are given and received. Whether in the church, or across the fence on the lane behind our house, conversations, agreements, contests, arguments, negotiations, storytelling all facilitate the building of community. Now, arguably more than ever, we need to celebrate and embody kindness in all our relationships, including our relationship with the earth, God’s fragile, island home. Join us on this work weekend to explore kindness, a much under-rated activity.
Ken Gray will be leading the exploration. Ken, now retired from parish and cathedral ministry, is a trained musician and keen amateur photographer. From his home in Summerland, BC, he leads an active life blogging on a variety of subjects, including spirituality, politics, humour, the arts, and dogs.
We are excited to host our Associates during the long weekend from May 8th to 11th. Associates are our very best friends, members of the registered non-profit society that governs Sorrento Retreat and Conference Centre. Associates gather to volunteer in the spring and fall, as well as throughout the year.
