Known for warding off vampires in European folklore, this potent antiviral has is an exceptional ally over cold and flu season.? Lavender. Its name comes from the Latin lavare, "to wash." Well-known for its scent, this plant is also an antiseptic that helps clean homes and wounds.? Rue. Called the "herb of grace," rue has been worn in charms against the evil eye for centuries. In Latin American traditions, ruda aids in spiritual cleansings.?Sage. Its Latin name, Salvia, comes from salvare, "to save." Indigenous peoples have tended white sage for thousands of generations, and some lovingly call it "grandmother."? Yarrow.
