NJ legends Age of Ore have quickly made a name for themselves with their signature sound and unforgettable stage presence. This powerhouse trio consistently delivers unique songs and electrifying performances that leave audiences wanting more.​They’ve shared the stage with renowned artists, including current and former members of Dio, Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Idol, Foreigner, Whitesnake, Mötley Crüe, Ratt, Tantric, Lynch Mob, and The Dead Daisies. Hailing from Long Island, melodic metalcore/post-hardcore band Forever Mortal formed in 2022, and are known for blending crushing riffs, gravity-blast drumming, and dynamic vocals. Reefamancers are a Somerville hatched, emerging sludge/doom metal band known for producing heavy, downtuned, and thick, riff-heavy music. Their original, gloomy sound is featured on original tracks like "Resin" and "Goliath Mountain". Lastly, With Scars Like Armor is a metalcore band who returns to the Rock Shack stage in triumphant fashion with their aggressive, singer/screamer vocals, thick chunky riffs, and thunderous bass and drums! What is Rock Shack?We are a live music venue that encourages creativity, expression, and original music. Our goal is to help give original bands a musician friendly space to strut their stuff in front of a welcoming audience.Location:Our venue is located inside the Somerville School of Rock building on the first floor. The street address is:The Rock Shack14 Davenport St., Suite 1Somerville, NJ 08876Parking:The Rock Shack does not have its own parking lot. Do not park in the lot immediately behind our building as you may be ticketed or towed. There is street parking and several municipal lots immediately around the school. Municipal lots 1 and 2 are on the right and left side of Davenport St. just half of a block north of our venue. Rates are 50 cents per hour until 7 PM and free after that. You can pay at the Kiosk or via the Park Smarter app, https://www.parksmarter.com/. Street parking is metered and $1/hour until 7 PM, free after that.Alcohol and drug policy:We are an alcohol and drug free space. Please do not bring alcohol or drugs to a show or you will be asked to leave. Thank you for respecting our safe space and allowing everyone to thoroughly enjoy the musicFood and Drink:While we do not serve alcohol, we do sell non-alcoholic drinks and pre-packaged snacks.Hearing Protection:Rock shows are LOUD!!!
