Peter “JOE PETE” Wetherbee is a guitarist and singer known for the roots-rock jams of his trio SIX is NINE—a reference to the Jimi Hendrix song If Six Was Nine. The band presents a winning mix of rockabilly, country, blues, ’50s–‘70s rock ’n’ roll, Louisiana Cajun/zydeco/R&B, plus a handful of like-minded originals. Joe Pete is also known for his work with Boston favorites the Boogaloo Swamis and Hubcaps.
