Die! Die! My Darling! 35mm archival print

In this 1965 British horror thriller, Tallulah Bankhead stars as a woman who locks up her dead sons’s erstwhile fiancée with the intention of “reforming” her. Also starring Stefanie Powers, Peter Vaughan, Yootha Joyce, Maurice Kaufmann and Donald Sutherland.

As the Monthly Film Bulletin wrote of the film (released as Fanatic in the UK), “One suspects here a laudable determination in Miss Bankhead not to be outdone by Bette Davis’ Baby Jane. There is enough here to give horror addicts a field day on various levels.”

Did you Know: Tallulah Bankhead spent the early part of her career on the Somerville Theatre stage as part of the Somerville Theatre Players! Die! Die! My Darling! was her final feature film.
