Due to the National Weather Service's **Extreme Heat Warning** and forecasted dangerous temperatures, Franklin Township has made the difficult decision to postpone our **Independence Day Celebration & Fireworks**.

The event originally scheduled for **Thursday, July 2** has been **rescheduled to the rain date of Friday, July 10**.

The forecast calls for dangerously high temperatures and heat index values that could pose a serious health risk to attendees, volunteers, vendors, performers, and Township staff. While we know this is disappointing, the safety of our community must come first.

We hope you'll join us on **Friday, July 10**, as we come together to celebrate **America's 250th Birthday** with an evening of family fun, entertainment, and fireworks!

Thank you for your understanding, and please take precautions during the extreme heat by staying hydrated, limiting outdoor activities, checking on family, friends, and neighbors, and never leaving children or pets in unattended vehicles.
