The 10th Annual Uptown Chalk the Block Festival is an interactive street painting festival. This year there are 26 music acts, 3 stages, 20 professional chalk artists, vintage-inspired Kids activities, beer garden, food trucks, an artisan market, Youth Entrepreneur Market, and So. Much. More.

Schedule of events can be found on the Chalk the Block Facebook and Instagram pages and the Chalk the Block tab on the Somerset Inc website.

For the first time in Chalk the Block history, we are kicking off the 3 day long festival with a Car Cruise hosted by Laurel Arts and live performances by JD & Cindy and Boomtown Country. 

Saturday is all about chalk and art! With the Somerset Trust Youth Chalk Competition, 1st Summit Bank Kids Zone, an Artisan Market, food vendors, and of course 20 professional chalk artists! 

Sunday is home to the annual Chalk the Block 5K, a Youth Entrepreneur Market, food vendors, beer garden, live music, and a chance to get your picture with the 20 completed larger-than-life chalk portraits!
