Camp Overview
This camp is about learning how to actually feed yourself—not by unwrapping something, opening a bag, or heating up whatever happens to be in the freezer, but by understanding a few foundational skills that turn into endless real meals for themselves and their families.

Instead of teaching a long list of recipes, this camp focuses on two core recipes designed to be easy to memorize, adaptable, and useful for the rest of their lives. This is part of a growing camp series centered on foundational cooking skills that prepare teens not just to be the most popular roommate in college, but someone who genuinely knows how to cook—not just follow instructions.

In small groups, campers will learn how to master the following:

One Dough
Campers learn a simple, memorized yeasted dough that can be shaped and cooked into soft pretzels, pretzel buns, pizza crust, flatbread, breadsticks, and more. The ingredients stay the same. The outcome changes based on what they choose to do next.

One Sauce
Campers learn how to make a roux and turn it into a béchamel—one foundational sauce that becomes baked mac and cheese, Alfredo-style pasta, queso-style cheese sauce, and beyond.

Along the way, campers will also learn how to properly clean and reset their cooking stations. Because if your teen can cook in your kitchen, they can clean it too.

Time with baby goats and in timber/treehouse is as always, part of the camp!
