We’ll spend the day baking, experimenting, and messing around with cookies in ways most kids don’t get to do. Campers will learn how small changes—like sugar type, eggs, or leavening—can completely change a cookie. Some will spread, some will puff, some will stay soft, and some won’t do what you expect at all. That’s part of the fun.

This isn’t about memorizing recipes or following steps just to get a result. It’s about understanding what’s happening and using that knowledge to make better cookies (and fix the ones that don’t turn out how you planned).

In the afternoon, kids who want to can take part in an optional cookie creation challenge, where they use what they learned earlier in the day to design and bake their own cookie. It’s creative, a little competitive, and very hands-on—but low pressure. Participation is optional, and the focus stays on experimenting and learning, not winning.

Time with baby goats and in timber/treehouse is included as always! 

Kids leave this camp with cookies, confidence, and a much better sense of how baking actually works.
