Expect a welcoming space packed with new and pre-loved vinyl, focusing on pop, rock, indie, metal, prog, punk, reggae, alternative, and plenty of Midlands artists too. Whether you’re a serious collector or just starting your vinyl journey, come by for a dig and a chat
Slow century Records are supporters of music at a grass roots level and look forward to introducing and working with brand new up and coming artists and sharing them with you.
With this in mind we'd like to introduce you to "Guitar" George Wilson, an amazing local talent, who at just 14 years old and a blind sensation has already wowed audiences this year at the Upton Blues Festival and has also been invited to play with Birmingham Blues legend Steve Ajao at the The Troubadour Lounge in Kings Norton. George has a big interest heavy blues influenced rock and in particular The Rolling Stones, he will be joined by the fantastic blues harmonica player Tony Stokes.
George will be playing some great standards for you in the shop from 13.00, something not to be missed.
We will also be joined around 14.15 by Solihull Mayor Annette Mackenzie who is looking forward to meeting everyone as well as visits during the afternoon by local councillors Heather Delaney and Karen Grinsell.
Music’s always been about connection — and I can’t wait to connect with you all through this new chapter.
Hope to see you there for the opening!
