# Event Details - **Event Name**: Landscape & Wildlife Photography at Pinnacles National Park - **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 31 Jan, 2026 at 07:30 am – Sat, 31 Jan, 2026 at 03:30 pm - **Event Description**: Wildlife and Landscape Photography at Pinnacles National ParkAbout this EventJoin photographers Scott Hein and Steve Bobzien for a day of photography at Pinnacles National Park. Park on the westside entrance (in Soledad) at the Chaparral Parking Area. We will then take the Juniper Canyon Trail up to the High Peaks area, where we will be surrounded by magical vistas, rock towers, wildflowers, and wildlife. If we are lucky, we will be rewarded with moments shared with the park’s iconic mascot, the California Condor. We will then traverse the High Peaks Trail up and down stone staircases and across drawbridges until we come to Tunnel Trail which will bring us back down and around to Juniper Canyon and return us to the car for a grand total of 4.2 miles and 1259’ of elevation gain. Participants should be in good physical shape and be ready for some technical, exposed hiking up steep steps cut into rock formations, and a long day in the hills.This event is for experienced hikers and outdoor photographers with working knowledge of their own gear. Hike leaders will be able to guide participants into the amazing surrounding hills and cliffs for photography opportunities, but this will not be an introductory course on outdoor photography.Participants should wear good, gripping hiking shoes, warm layers for changing weather, including a hat and carry plenty of food and water, as there will be no water outside of the parking lot for the duration of the hike.
