The “Who is In?” Awareness Retreat is a journey inward, an invitation to dive into the
very depths beyond the mind and directly experience your true nature. It is that ‘ah’
moment, a sip of presence that quenches our thirst and gives meaning to our seeking.
We begin to see that joy, love, and beauty are not to be found; they are our natural
state.
This inner exploration is based on inquiry into koans (existential questions), an ancient
method from Zen monasteries. In modern times, this process has been refined by
contemporary masters, making it more direct, experiential, and transformative. The
inquiry happens in a unique meditative setting that blends awareness in the present
moment and active communication, something that makes the process effective and
experiential.
Many hidden gifts reveal themselves along the way. We begin to speak and live our
truth beyond the images we carry. We touch the natural relaxation and joy that arise as
we reconnect with our essential being. We learn to give space to ourselves and others,
nurturing the art of expression, the art of listening, and the rhythm of giving and
receiving. This process unifies the inner and outer worlds, balancing the material with
the spiritual, the masculine with the feminine, dissolving ideas of separation.
