Wooden Elephant, които вече имат славата на един от най-смелите ансамбли на световната музикална сцена, пристигат в София на 11 септември. Петимата класически музиканти с необикновено въображение и виртуозна техника ще представят своя версия на емблематичния Kid A на “Рейдиохед“ (Radiohead), премахвайки границите между музикалните жанрове. Електронните звуци са интерпретирани по изцяло акустичен начин, като са използвани техники от съвременната и авангардната музика.

В програмата на концерта в София е и Electric Counterpoint от Стийв Райх, оригинално писан за електрическа китара и често изпълняван от китариста на Radiohead – Джони Грийнууд. 

Концертът на Wooden Elephant ще се състои на 11 септември 2026 г. в Концертната зала на Военния клуб в София (бул. „Цар Освободител“ № 7). Билетите ще бъдат в продажба от 1 юли.

На 12 септември 2026 г. Wooden Elephant ще свирят в Поморие, където ще представят Björk: Homogenic. Този проект на квинтета превръща в акустично преживяване емблематичния албум на исландската музикална звезда Björk. 

Гостуването на Wooden Elephant в България е организирано от София арт институт и фестивала „Поморие и приятели”.

Five classical musicians with extraordinary imagination, virtuosic technique, and an unexpected interpretation of one of the most influential rock albums of the twenty-first century—the string quintet Wooden Elephant—will present their version of Radiohead’s iconic Kid A in Sofia this September, breaking down the boundaries between musical genres. The concert promises to be one of the highlights of the new musical season. 

The Sofia programme will also feature Steve Reich’s Electric Counterpoint, originally written for electric guitar and frequently performed by Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood.

Wooden Elephant will perform on 11 September 2026 at the Concert Hall of the Military Club in Sofia (7 Tsar Osvoboditel Blvd.). Tickets will go on sale on 1 July.

On 12 September 2026, Wooden Elephant will perform in Pomorie, presenting Björk: Homogenic. In this project, the quintet transforms the iconic album by the Icelandic artist Björk into a unique acoustic experience.

Wooden Elephant’s visit to Bulgaria is organized by Sofia Art Institute and the “Pomorie and Friends” Festival.
