Janis Siegel е водещ вокалист в The Manhattan Transfer и е солист в някои от най-големите им хитове: „Operator“, „Chanson D’Amour“, „Twilight Zone“, „Birdland“, „The Boy from N.Y.C.“, „Spice of Life“, „Ray’s Rockhouse“, „The Shaker Song“, „Mystery“. Освен това тя е съавтор и изпълнява водещия вокал в носителката на Грами песен „Sassy“.
🎹 Двигателят на The Manhattan Transfer!
От 1979 г. насам, Yaron Gershovsky е музикален директор и пианист на The Manhattan Transfer — световно признатата вокална формация, спечелила 8 награди Грами и 14 номинации. Той е не само пианист, но и композитор, аранжор и продуцент, който стои зад много от техните хитове. Сред най-значимите му аранжименти е носителят на Грами „Why Not“. Освен това, Gershovsky е работил с легенди като Pharoah Sanders, Wayne Shorter, The Count Basie Orchestra и Toots Thielemans. Бил е пианист и в бродуейските мюзикъли “Les Misérables” и “The Phantom of the Opera”.
След последния концерт на The Manhattan Transfer през декември 2023 г., Janis Siegel и Yaron Gershovsky решават да продължат съвместния си музикален път. През 2024 г. те издават албума „The Colors of My Life: A Cy Coleman Songbook“ под лейбъла Club44 Records. Записан е с много любов и дълбоко уважение към наследството на композитора Cy Coleman и дълбоко изследва неговата джазова чувствителност.
На 8 и 9 ноември, In The Mood Jazz Club посреща в София световноизвестните Janis Siegel и Yaron Gershovsky, за два бутикови джаз концерта, които ще бъдат единственото им клубно участие в Европа!
Двамата ще представят новия си съвместен албум „The Colors of My Life“.
За да чуете албума в пълната му форма, Janis Siegel и Yaron Gershovsky са поканили двама свои колеги от европейската джаз сцена, с които ще представят музиката на българската публика:

She also co-wrote and performed the Grammy-winning song “Sassy.”
🎹 The driving force behind The Manhattan Transfer!
Since 1979, Yaron Gershovsky has been the musical director and pianist of The Manhattan Transfer — the world-renowned vocal group with 8 Grammy Awards and 14 nominations.
A pianist, composer, arranger, and producer, he has shaped much of their signature sound. His Grammy-winning arrangement of “Why Not” remains one of their most celebrated works. Gershovsky has also collaborated with jazz legends such as Pharoah Sanders, Wayne Shorter, The Count Basie Orchestra, and Toots Thielemans, and has performed in Broadway productions including “Les Misérables” and “The Phantom of the Opera.”
Following The Manhattan Transfer’s final concert in December 2023, Janis Siegel and Yaron Gershovsky decided to continue their musical journey together. In 2024, they released “The Colors of My Life: A Cy Coleman Songbook” under Club44 Records — an album recorded with deep love and respect for composer Cy Coleman, exploring the richness of his jazz sensibility.
On November 8 & 9, In The Mood Jazz Club welcomes Janis Siegel and Yaron Gershovsky to Sofia for two boutique jazz concerts — their only club performances in Europe!
They will present their new joint album, “The Colors of My Life.”
To bring the album’s full sound to life, Siegel and Gershovsky will be joined by two exceptional European jazz artists:
🥁 Paolo Vicari (Italy) — drums, a distinguished musician with an international career
🎻 Mihail Ivanov (Bulgaria) — one of the leading double bassists on the Bulgarian jazz scene
