HS Talks: Sustainable Ecosystem with AI Society
Hey, guys! We’ve got an exciting announcement to make :) After the success of our Deep Learning Course last year and the positive feedback we got from the community, we’ve been thinking of the best way to continue the HS Learn initiative and how we can extract the greatest value out of our meetings going forward. We certainly wanted to keep the emphasis on the strong and interesting content, but we kind of wanted to switch the format from lectures to more informal meetings, where we would have the opportunity to discuss together topics that interest and excite us.
So herewith, we are thrilled to announce the start of a series of meetups, organized and conducted by HyperScience and other fellow engineers.
We named it HS Talks!
HS Talks will have the ambitious goal to deliver interesting and useful content to the community and diversify the nature of the topics – we’ll have ML topics of course, but will also talk on various other engineering questions/problems. Each meetup will be hosted in a different location in Sofia, which will be announced together with the topic and the speaker.
Now, let's rock the first HS Talk which is particularly special for us as it gives us the chance to meet you with our special guest Dr Hiroshi Yamakawa. Dr. Yamakawa is the Director of Dwango AI Laboratory, the Chairperson of the Whole Brain Architecture Initiative and former Chief Editor of the Japanese Society for Artificial Intelligence. He is specialized in AI, in particular, cognitive architecture, concept acquisition, neurocomputing, bioinformatics, and proxy voting technology. Dr. Yamakawa is also one of the founders of the Whole Brain Architecture Seminar and the SIG AGI (artificial general intelligence) in Japan and is one of the leading researchers working on AGI in Japan.
