This 3 hour NCTMB-approved continuing education course, offered through Michael Matthews Workshops LLC, allows me, Jillian, to guide massage therapists through a simple and highly effective approach to TMJ dysfunction therapy using both intraoral and external techniques.

The atmosphere is laid back and welcoming, more like a retreat than a lecture hall. Expect meaningful learning, hands on practice and practical tools that slide seamlessly into an active massage therapy practice.

Inside this workshop, participants explore:

• The specific muscle groups that influence the TMJ both inside and outside the mouth
• Clear contraindications and safety guidelines for client and practitioner
• Tennessee state laws regarding oral work for massage therapists
• How to blend TMJ techniques smoothly into a full body massage session
• Ways to ethically and confidently market TMJ dysfunction therapy
• Support strategies for clients experiencing headaches, lockjaw, sinus pressure, neck pain and post dental discomfort

TMJ dysfunction therapy has supported many of my own clients. People often schedule when headaches linger, after dental procedures, or when the jaw feels tight and fatigued. After a focused TMJ session, relief shows up quickly. My clients’ faces soften. Movement improves. Their whole body feels lighter.

This class offers practical skill, clinical clarity and confidence, all wrapped in a nurturing learning environment where questions are welcome and growth feels joyful.
