Tracking and divination is the language the shaman utilizes to create meaning, to obtain insights, to gather information, and to bring medicine. Perceptual shifts, luminous awareness, seeing states, and dream time are some of the tools the shaman masters in order to bring healing and transformation.
This class explores tracking and seeing techniques from the high mountains of the Andes, to the lowlands of the Amazon. Our brains are hard wired by the continuity of our cultural trance and our past experiences. We explore ancient methodologies to shift the neurological pathways of our visual cortex in order to create alternate routes to seeing and gathering information. We hope you will join us in this rich training which will provide you with practical tools for daily life. This training is offered to mesa carriers.
José Luis Herrera is an exceptional workshop facilitator and international speaker on indigenous healing methods. Of Peruvian lineage, he brings 25 years of experience gained through extensive research, and apprenticeships with shamans of the mountains, jungle and desert. José Luis’ unique education of Engineering and System Science combined with this wisdom of the land and culture enables him to bring the voice, traditions, and wisdom of indigenous cultures to the West.
He is the Founder of Rainbow Jaguar Institute, and Chairperson of the non-profit organization the Andean Research Institute which is dedicated to the research and preservation of the traditions of Peruvian medicine people and provides social outreach to impoverished villages.
