Here we find all the mysteries of life unfold: birth, life, growth, death and rebirth all exist simultaneously, much like the divine essence that flows through us. When we work in a garden, our hearts, souls and bodies open to a new dimension of life that brings us closer to our own as well as Universal life enhancing qualities. In our journey, we will explore many different ways of gardening for different purposes, such as the Knot Garden, Ancestral Garden, Birth Garden, Aromatherapy Garden, Herbal/Healing Garden, Gaia Garden, and Feng Shui Garden and explore the wonders each has to offer us. We will spend particular time with the Medicine Wheel Garden and the Labyrinth as reminders of our eternal connections. We will also explore the plants and energies that each garden has to offer us for daily inspiration on our earth walk. About the Instructor: Dan is a child, adolescent and adult therapist. Having worked in mental health for over 50 years, I continue to find interest in expanding human consciousness growing each day! To that extent, I also add meditation, alternative mental health healing, and consciousness expansion into my work with healing the wounded human spirit. I use such tools as the Mandala Assessment Research (MARI) instrument to help individuals explore, from a Jungian perspective, the different dimensions of human consciousness and assist in their journey of unraveling and exploring the secrets of their true nature. Helping individuals with the process of healing ancestral trauma and wounds is yet another aspect of the depth psychology work I offer for healing the human heart and soul. As a life long student and practitioner of Yoga, mindfulness meditation, biofeedback, Native American, indigenous and Eastern Studies, I integrate a wellness/self-care perspective into my teaching and therapeutic activities. I have published numerous articles on parenting, child development and pathways to personal growth and fulfillment. My current interests focus on “depth psychology/psycho-spiritual growth” helping individuals find the deeper meaning in life through meditation, spiritual development, and consciousness expansion. Currently, my interests are focused on engaging nature and our higher consciousness in the healing process. I offer several groups designed to help us learn ways to interact more lovingly and peacefully with each other, and the beautiful planet we live on.
