OH NO! He's back! The Grinch returns to Historic Snohomish on Sunday, December 14th, 2025. Join the Best 5k Run in Snohomish and keep the Grinch from spoiling all of the holiday merriment in town...AGAIN! Runners and walkers will help restore holiday order by Chasing the Grinch out of town.

The 5K charity run starts and finishes at our "Cheermeister Village" at Averill Field 400 2nd Street, Snohomish WA (next to the Snohomish Boys & Girls Club). The route takes you along the picturesque Centennial Trail. This cheery and mostly flat 5K distance is a fully supported out-and-back course - a great beginner 5k. Runners return to a festive finish line with themed costume party, entertainment, and photo ops! The kids dash will take place around Averill Field.
All 5K participants will receive an official event T-shirt and medal showing that you helped Chase the Grinch out of Snohomish. Kids Dash participants receive an event t-shirt and participation ribbon.
Day of registrations will be accepted, but limited to supplies on hand. If necessary, you will receive a previous year's t-shirt. Register early to guarantee your swag. Wear your most fun and festive attire to help spread holiday joy as we continue the yearly tradition in Historic Snohomish!

This event is produced in partnership with the Central Emerson PTA & Historic Snohomish Downtown Association. All proceeds support students at Central Emerson Elementary.
Trained and well mannered dogs are welcome to join us for the 5k run. Keep in mind, dogs need to remain leashed and under control during the event.
Runners/walkers are welcome to bring children in strollers, we just ask that you make room for others to pass as needed and that you allow the runners waive their allotted 15 minute start time.
