- **Event Description**: Hello Everyone!! This event has been in the dream phase for a long long time, and I’m so delighted to finally bring this forth into the community. So let me jump right in an explain how all of this is going to go!

Lively closes at 4pm, so we’re opening for these special hours during the evening on Saturday Feb 28, 2026. 

✨Robert Arellano, a weaver of ethereal sounds in his songs, will start off the evening with a set of his illustrious and experiential tunes. Find out more about Robert at https://www.youtube.com/@robertarellanomusic8850

✨Then, it’s time for Show-And-Tell! 20-30 of us will be bringing a relic (something of personal value) to display on a table, and one by one we will take to the mic and share a 30-90 second story about its significance to us. We’ll revel in each other’s stories, and share one another’s joy and the irreplaceable spark of comfort of being together.

Special Lively from-scratch food and drink will be available for purchase throughout the evening! We’ll have hot soup and sandwiches for dinner, and as usual, we’ll strive to have delicious options for everyone, including those who have allergies, preferences, and restrictions. Menu will be posted soon!

DO YOU WANT TO BE A STORYTELLER?
The invite is open to people of all ages, children to elders and everyone in between. The fabulous thing about Show-And-Tell events is that everyone is an expert… no, you don’t need to do research, have credentials, be an experienced speaker, or be “official” in any way… you just have to tell a story that only YOU can tell. So look around your dwellings and see if anything calls to you! It can literally be anything! We want to know the details: what / where / when / how / why ? 
(If you want help discerning the story, reach out and I will be happy to help it take shape)
Here are some examples that may help you think of or find something to tell us about:

•a rock or coin or trinket you love
•a black-and-white (or color!) photograph
•an old hand tool passed down through the generations
•a handmade quilt showing artistry and expertise, or something that someone made for you
•a treasured cassette tape, vinyl record, or CD
•a vintage firearm (unloaded of course)
•a travel souvenir from a meaningful trip
•a musical instrument (feel free to play it)
•something you’ve made, a project or work of art

THIS IS A “SMART” PHONE- AND “SMART” DEVICE-FREE EVENT! The entire point is to connect with one another over food and drink, stories, music and art, listening, and conversation. Please leave your phone, watch, whatever else connects to the internet at home, and challenge yourself to Be Here Now. No scrolling, no checking, no posting. Just being. Just enjoying. If you’d like to document the experience, welcomed tech includes Polaroid cameras, 35mm, 110, and other film cameras, camcorders, digital cameras, or whatever you still have in that old box in the attic :) Better yet, just bring a friend and make a memory ?

Ultimately, we all see that the world around us is becoming more divided, more distracted, more distant, more bewildering and bitter. So rebel!! Join the living and Lively and enjoy all the richness of the human experience. Revel in the Relics!
