This clinic is for ANYONE wanting to learn how to get thoes cool maneuvers but don't know where to start, or for the person who has a horse that has the moves but you don't know how to work them!
You and your horse will have to already:
- have controlled steering right and left.
- trot and lope controled in a group.
- stop when asked.
We will dive DEEP into making advanced manuvers EASY to understand. How and where to start, and what the end goal should look like.
We will cover TRUE collection, how to soften the horses jaw, rib cage, hips, head, and neck. We will also cover the start of a spin, stops, backing, side pass, turn on the forehand, and how to begin neck reining.
We will start with a meeting discussing leg placement of rider, how to properly ask for maneuvers, discuss equipment such as spurs and bits, and their purpose.
We will then tack up and ride, break for lunch, and then ride after lunch. We will build on the exercises and dive DEEP into what you are asking for to have success at home! Tack needed:
Saddle
Pad
Snaffle bridle
Spurs
Curb Bit (if you ride in one)
Halter
Lead Rope
