We can create entanglements with parents, siblings or others when we carry a wish, conscious or not, that something had been different. There may be judgement, resentment, and child consciousness embedded in such a wish that has operated to protect us from feeling pain, but which can also inhibit us from growing into the adult strength and consciousness we need now. A Family Constellation is a slow, respectful process that proceeds without judgement, and includes space for every family member and for everything that has happened. It allows for the opportunity to take the inner image of your family you carry and bring it into the room to explore the family memory fields it holds. Along with your DNA, you also inherited the values, beliefs, loves, strengths, losses, failings, and unresolved difficult fates of your ancestors. You may find that out of love and loyalty, you have been unconcsiously trying to carry something painful that belonged to someone else- that was part of their fate, and not yours. By looking at this material with the guidance and support of an experienced facilitator, you may be able to see that it's out of a child's pure, innocent love you've wanted to fix something that's not your responsibility, and is impossible to change anyway. This sacred practice can help you come to more understanding and more compassion for what your ancestors lived and struggled through while still having the strength to pass life on to another generation and ultimately to you. In this seminar we will use the healing method of Family Constellations to explore and release the entanglements we have with other family members through our wishes that something or someone had been different. Family Constellations have roots in the ancestral practices of the Zulu people of Kwazulu Natal in Southern Africa; in psychology; and in deep spirituality. The method is a form of divination that provides insight and helps you uncover the forces that you inherited, that move in your life in hidden ways, and that can obscure the greater unique love that you came to the world to give. Please arrive by 9:15am in order to be settled and ready to begin on time. We will introduce ourselves using the Family Questionnaire, provide a demo Constellation for those new to the method, share what challenge we bring to the day, and spend the day taking turns setting up and exploring each other's Constellation.
