Over eight weekly sessions, families explore the natural world through activities inspired by much-loved children’s books.Each session encourages parents and children to learn together, building confidence outdoors while developing communication, imagination and early literacy skills. Activities are designed to be simple, engaging and low-cost, so families can continue the fun at home.There is no cost to take part in Wellies in the Woods, but places are limited and must be booked in advance. Please note we will be running two identical sessions on the same day. It is one of four environmental education centres across the UK which are owned by the National Grid.  Since opening in 1990 Iver Environment Centre has been managed byGroundwork South,  a ‘not for profit’ organisation working with local communities to improve their quality of life.Over the past 30 years, the 2.5 acres that make up our centre has blossomed into a beautiful collection of gardens thanks to the help of local businesses and volunteers.
