Could you walk a lap of Mercian Way Recreation Ground to help raise money to repair the roof at the Cippenham Royal British Legion?
After almost 80 years of enduring harsh weather and vandalism, the roof is in dire need of repair. Despite our best efforts, previous attempts to fix the roof have been unsuccessful, leaving us with several active leaks which are causing significant damage to the building. In April 2024, we launched the Raise the Roof campaign, raising just over £5,000 to date, we now need to raise a further £14,000 to patch repair the two most critical areas before we can even contemplate the internal repair work required to the rear lounge and toilets.
Please join us on Saturday 6 December 2025 from 10am as we take on a 26.2-mile walking marathon relay.
Absolutely anyone can take part, the more the merrier! You decide how many laps of the park you would like to do and the best time slot for you.
