The Coleman Heritage Centre is delighted to welcome one of Ireland's most celebrated traditional music ensembles, At the Racket, for a special concert in Gurteen.

This promises to be a memorable homecoming for local musician Séamus O'Donnell, who joins fellow band members John Carty, Brian McGrath and Michael McCague for an evening of outstanding music.

Formed in 1996, At the Racket has built a reputation for its infectious energy and unique revival of the Irish and Irish-American dance band sound of the 1920s and 1930s. Drawing on rare recordings made by Irish emigrant musicians in America, the band blends traditional Irish music with jazz influences, popular song and the lively spirit of the dance hall.

Set in the birthplace of the legendary Michael Coleman, this promises to be a very special evening of music in one of Ireland's most iconic traditional music venues.
