General Rules
Marshaling:
All racers are expected to corner marshal and/or assist the race director unless unable to marshal
due to physical conditions or age. For safety purposes, we recommend racers be a minimum of 10
years of age.
Marshals must be treated with respect at all times. Failure to do so will result in a warning. A second
offense will result in disqualification for the race in which the infraction occurred.
Track Calls:
A ‘Track’ call or ‘Rider’ call is to be made only under the following conditions:
• If a car is in a slot and under power from another racer.
• If a car is under the track, flies off of the track, or is in an area of the track not easily
reached by a corner marshal.
• If a corner marshal is overwhelmed by a multi-car crash.
When a track call is made, if the race director determines it to have been unwarranted or in violation
of the race rules, the driver’s car will be moved to a position immediately past the lap counter before
racing is resumed.
Race and Qualifying:
The qualifying procedure (whether fastest lap or most laps) will be at the discretion of the host
raceway owner.
The overall winner will be the racer with the most laps from any heat. In the event of a tie on total
laps, the racer with the most progress on the last incomplete lap will be the winner.
Tech Inspection:
Cars must be brought to the tech table with the body off. After inspection, the body must be
remounted at the table and must remain there except when racing or qualifying. After the body is
remounted, it will be checked for mounting, cut, form, and fit. If a car fails tech, the racer will have the
opportunity to correct the infraction before re-qualifying, time permitting.
Bodies will be pulled from minimum .015” stock. Bodies may be checked by micrometers during tech.
Cars with bodies manufactured out of compliance will fail tech. Bodies cannot be modified. This
includes bending the spoiler to increase or decrease the spoiler angle and/or slanting the body to
increase the spoiler height. No ‘slamming’ of bodies.
The maximum spoiler height of Sportsman and Grand Prix bodies is not to exceed 1-1/2". The
measurement is taken at the highest point of the body, on the tech block at legal chassis ride height.
The front of the body must retain some vertical fascia. For bodies that have no front fascia (C100),
the cut line is the horizontal mold line.
Chassis must remain as a ‘one-piece’ unit. No floating or hinged components allowed. Scratchbuilt
chassis are not allowed. Rod and tubing may be used for bracing only, not for general construction.
Chassis must remain unmodified with the exception of bracing.
Adjustable bushings are legal for all classes but offset bushings are not permitted. Excessive side-toside axle slop is not permitted.
Motors may not be opened by any method. Tech officials will fail any car presented
that shows evidence of motor disassembly or other tampering.
All chassis, motors, and tires will be marked in tech.
All podium finishers will be subject to a post-race inspection.
In all disputes, the tech inspector’s ruling shall be final.***Legends Class***
