Giving back to the Community 50/50 Raffle!

The Slickville VFD would like to announce a new venture we are focusing on with the upcoming holiday season. A few members got together and discussed how we could give back to our community as a thank you for all the continued support over the years. We have come up with an awesome and truly amazing idea. We will be starting a 50/50 raffle from November 1st 2025 - November 26th 2025. With the proceeds we will be using our part of the 50/50 to give a needy family in Salem Township a Christmas they may other wise not be able to have on their own. The idea is to take the lucky family to a local store and allow them to purchase Christmas gifts and necessities. We will have a few fire department members accompanying and assisting in shopping. Along with that we will be supplying the family with a Christmas dinner. We truly wish we could help more than one family at this time but we wanted to start small and hopefully continue this venture for years to come. Our hope is to continue to grow and to be able to help more families in our community. If you know any families in Salem Township please send us a message. We would love to help a very deserving family that has fallen onto hard times. Hopefully with some assistance from us we can take a little weight off of their shoulders and make this a memorable Christmas. Again we wish we could help more than one family at this time but just starting out we would like to start small and work up. We will do our absolute best to make this a reoccurring tradition.
