Come and join the Fenland Natural Health Herbalists on this fun and informative walk. Starting from the Hub carpark. We'll be setting off 10:30am and walking along the bank of the river Slea. Please arrive 10 minutes beforehand so we can go through some housekeeping and health and saftey before we set off. Latecomers may get left behind. The walk will take one hour to an hour and a half depending on our pace, and will bring us back to the Hub so if you wish you can pop into their CafeBar and have a bite to eat, or just a drink and maybe a sweet treat then you'll have the opportunity to use the facilities on offer.
Attending this event you will learn how to identify plants with medicinal properties, and find out about their uses to how they can help you maintain good health.
This walk will be led by the Fenland Natural Health Herbalists who are fully qualified, registered, medical herbalists who met whilst studying for their degree in Herbal Medicine at Lincoln.
As we walk through the various areas this location has to offer, the herbalists will point out plants that have medicinal benefits, give you tips on how to competently identify them, share with you their knowledge about the plants - what they use them for, and how you can use them at home to help maintain your own health.
This diverse area will see us pass through varied terrain and so, in places, the walking surfaces may be uneven and wet at times, so please wear suitable footwear and dress for the wonderful Great British weather! Unless the weather poses a significant safety risk we will be going ahead. A little bit of rain won't put us off.
