Join us at AURUM for a beginner-friendly public breathwork session, created for anyone who feels curious about breathwork but doesn’t quite know where to start. This 2-hour session is designed to be gentle, supportive and accessible, with time to learn, settle, breathe, release and ground afterwards. You do not need any previous experience. You do not need to be “good” at meditation. You do not need to know what you’re doing. You just need to arrive as you are, breathe, and let the body do what the body knows how to do. No spiritual gymnastics required either :P What is Breathwork? Breathwork is the practice of using conscious breathing patterns to support the body, mind and nervous system. It can help you move out of overthinking and into the body, creating space for relaxation, emotional release, clarity and a deeper connection to yourself. This beginner session will introduce you to breathwork in a safe, simple and supportive way, without throwing you straight into the deep end like a confused little mermaid. What to Expect The session will include: A gentle introduction to breathwork and a few basic techniques to get your started Explanation of what may happen during a session Grounding and intention setting Guided beginner breathwork practice Gentle somatic movement where suitable Meditation and stillness Integration time afterwards A grounding drink before leaving During the session, you may feel warmth, tingling, emotion, tiredness, clarity, peace, lightness or simply a sense of deep rest. Every experience is different. There is no pressure to feel, see or release anything specific. This Session can Support: Nervous system calming Stress and overwhelm relief Emotional release Grounding Relaxation Mental clarity Confidence in trying breathwork Connection back to the body Inner stillness A sense of reset Breathwork classes vary greatly dependant on their goals- one session can be catered to more trauma release, whilst another focuses on the shadow or empowerment. Who is This For? This session is ideal for beginners, first-timers, overthinkers, busy minds, sensitive souls and anyone who feels called to try breathwork in a calm and held environment. It may be especially supportive if you feel: Stressed Overstimulated Emotionally full Disconnected from yourself Stuck in your head Ready for a reset Curious about breathwork In need of a safe space to soften You will be guided throughout and can pause, rest or adapt at any point. The beginner sessions are 2 hours, but this is compiled of instruction, explanation and grounding too, so please do not think you are going straight into constant 2 hours of breath! Whereas a 2 hour deeper session will be a much longer breath workout! What to Bring Please bring anything that helps you feel comfortable, such as: A yoga mat Blanket Pillow Water bottle Journal if you would like to write afterwards Blankets are provided but you may wish to bring your own. This session takes place in the salt room and is a small group.
