90-talet var årtiondet då några av världens främsta och mest inflytelserika rockband uppstod, så också Sveriges egna Atomic Swing, som med sin mix av melodisk rock, pop och retrokänsla etablerade de sig snabbt som en av Sveriges mest distinkta grupper. Bandet bildades 1992 av Niclas Frisk, och tillsammans med medlemmar som Henrik Berglund på trummor, Petter Orwin på bas och Micke Lohse på keyboard skapade de ett sound som stod ut.
Deras genombrottsalbum A Crash in the Blue (1993) satte tonen för en hel generation av band och med bejublade turnéer och skivsläpp lades gruppen sedan efter en tid på is. Niclas Frisk och hans kompanjoner fortsatte verka i musikvärlden som låtskrivare, sessionmusiker och i andra projekt.
15 år senare, den 6 augusti år 2021, återvände de med EP:n Sing Back the Light som följdes av hyllade spelningar runt om i landet. Under de senaste åren har de åter inträtt på scen med ny kraft och medvetenhet om sitt material, både gammalt och nytt. De bekräftade åter sin relevans och har under senaste året turnerat runt om i Skandinavien och även gjort en gemensam turné med Popsicle, ett annat ikoniskt svenskt 90-talsband.

The 1990s was the decade when some of the world's greatest and most influential rock bands emerged, and Sweden's own Atomic Swing was no exception. With their blend of melodic rock, pop, and retro vibes, they quickly established themselves as one of Sweden’s most distinctive groups. The band was formed in 1992 by Niclas Frisk, and together with members Henrik Berglund on drums, Petter Orwin on bass, and Micke Lohse on keyboard, they created a sound that stood out.
Their breakthrough album A Crash in the Blue (1993) set the tone for an entire generation of bands, and after a series of acclaimed tours and releases, the group eventually went on hiatus. Niclas Frisk and his companions continued working in the music industry as songwriters, session musicians, and in other projects.
Fifteen years later, on August 6, 2021, they returned with the EP Sing Back the Light, followed by praised performances across the country. In recent years, they’ve re-entered the stage with renewed energy and a deeper awareness of their material, both old and new. They reaffirmed their relevance and have spent the past year touring throughout Scandinavia, including a joint tour with Popsicle, another iconic Swedish band from the ’90s.
