AkLA 2026 Conference

Mapping the Future: Libraries in Changing Times sets the tone for the upcoming Alaska Library Association Conference, which will be held in scenic Sitka, Alaska, from March 26 to 28, 2026.

The conference coincides with the annual herring run in Sitka Sound, allowing us to be surrounded by nature’s bounty as we envision our Alaska libraries thriving in a roiling sea of technological advancements, shifting societal needs, evolving user expectations, and economic and political pressures.
