- **Event Description**: First in a series of fun competitions to be held each month (December, January, February, March). 
Take advantage of the Karst’s relatively mild climate to have fun and gain experience at a winter series of informal training competitions. Beginners can get a taste of competition in a supportive, stress-free environment, and more experienced players can work on improving their skills and mental preparation in advance of the 2026 competitive season. 

Competitive games:
    • Time Trial 
    • Dogdartbee
    • UFO Throw & Catch (without bonus zone), with separate divisions for Starters and Open
    • Fun throwing game for humans only

Entry fee: 5 EUR for each game, payable in cash at registration at the competition

Throw & Catch and Time Trial will have two rounds, Dogdartbee will have qualifications and then semi-finals (top eight)/finals (top four). Zones will be marked with cones along the sidelines. 
Rollers are permitted in all games, so young dogs, seniors, and dogs that have difficulty catching discs in the air are also welcome to compete. 
The human game will consist of a series of tasks to be completed using five discs. For example, five rollers through a tube, five throws into an upright container, five throws through a hoop, five throws from within a starting circle to five different targets. Points will be awarded for each successful throw (total of 20 points possible). In the event of a tie, the competitor with the faster time to complete all the tasks will rank higher.

The event will be intended as a social as well as a competitive event, with a break for lunch as a shared meal, and drinks on offer throughout and at the end of the day.

Points will be awarded for all places in all games: 100 points for 1st place, 90 for second, 80 for third and so on. The three individual competitors with the highest cumulative points at the end of the season will be crowned Cup winners and awarded special prizes. (Points for competitors in the Starters T&C class will be halved.)

In addition, there will be a Komen Winter Cup team competition. Teams consist of up to five members: the top three results at each competition will count towards the total, and the top three teams will be awarded as Cup winners at the conclusion of the series.
