- **Event Description**: Parade begins at the corner of Mill Road and Highway 42 in downtown Sister Bay, and goes a trot, kick, and a leap down the road to Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant. The parade culminates with the roofing of the first goats of the season at Al Johnson’s (weather permitting – the goats don’t go on the roof in rain or snow). The Goat Parade will be followed by Al Johnson’s Annual Goat Fest, located at Stabbur Beer Garden (next to the restaurant). Goat Fest will feature all day festivities including: live music, kid’s games, various beverages, great food, and a Swedish Pancake Eating contest. Other businesses throughout town will also be celebrating with specials.

All goats are invited to participate in the parade! (please leash or harness goats) Goat costumes, Viking hats, and other creative endeavors are encouraged. Though we love dogs, the goats do not. Please keep your canine companions away from the parade route so the goats can enjoy themselves too.

Spectators can participate in a fun fundraising event by purchasing “Goat Drop Stickers” online at https://www.aljohnsonsshop.com/products/al-johnsons-goat-plop-charity-sticker for $10 each (you don't need to attend the parade to win!) or at roadside booths along Highway 42. Proceeds benefit Koinonia Kupboard, a food pantry managed by First Baptist Church of Sister Bay. If a goat poops on your sticker during the parade, you’ll be entered to win exciting prizes!

Prize winner announcements will take place immediately following the parade at Stabbur Beer Garden, adjacent to Al Johnson’s.
