Sioux Falls Christmas Bird Count

The 86th edition of the Sioux Falls CBC! Join with friends and other birders to conduct a survey of all the birds in a designated circle around Sioux Falls.

Please let me know via email or Messenger if you would like to participate. We have a need for both field observers and feeder watchers. Field observers will go out by car and/or on foot to survey specific zones of the circle, while feeder watchers keep track of the birds in their yard, for as little as 15 minutes during the day. Field observers can also participate for only part of the day instead of the whole time, every amount of time helps.

Field observers will meet at the Scooter’s Coffee at 5009 S Western Ave (57th and Western) at 8:00 a.m. to get territories assigned and maps/checklists distributed. We will plan to reconvene at 5:00 p.m. to recap the day with dinner and a species count-off at Perkins near Best Buy (2604 W 41st St).
