- **Event Description**: In musical theater, a performance or item (song) receiving prolonged applause from the audience is called a “Showstopper.” On Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 7:00pm on the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center’s outdoor stage, we present an evening of showstopper songs that are sure to entertain.  Admission is free, but freewill donations are encouraged.

Big moments from the stage and screen are brought to life by fifteen outstanding local and regional singers (Sarah Elker, Sarah Scheffer, Erin Nelson, Kathy Banta, Wendy Bryce, Julie Hlas, Suzy Turnquist, Randy Peters, Donny Short, Chris Hanson, Scott Kruse, Adam Webb, and
Steve Lundburg) and a professional musicians (Lori Jessen, Elijah Bryce, Risty Bryce, Don Nelson) performing powerful and emotional highlights that will bring you to your feet. 

The audience will be positioned in a grassy area of Center’s campus, so they are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets, as well as refreshments. In case of rain, the show will be moved inside to the auditorium.
