Met ‘Broadside Ballads Vol. III’ (2024) geeft het trio een vertrouwde melancholische warmte aan een verzameling traditionele folksongs die eeuwen en continenten omspannen. Erin Rae hails from Tennessee, the home of country music. However, she puts a contemporary spin on the innate musical heritage woven into her DNA.

Erin Rae, de uit Nashville afkomstige singer-songwriter, begon haar muzikale reis in 2012 met haar band The Meanwhiles. Beïnvloed door iconen zoals Bobbie Gentry en Lee Hazlewood, creëerden ze een dromerig geluid dat zich beweegt tussen indie-folk, americana en seventies rock. Na haar minimalistische solodebuut ‘Putting on Airs’ (2018) volgde in 2022 het dynamische ‘Lighten Up’, waarin retro-pop en country-elementen haar muziek naar nieuwe, kosmische hoogtes tilt.
