The Symposium on Approaches to Hydrocephalus and Brain Injury
The first symposium of its kind in Singapore to explore themes common to the understanding of Hydrocephalus and Brain Injury, this event will provide exposure to broad methological and clinical topics including:
Understanding needs of cohorts-at-risk (from paediatric to elderly)
Imaging, radiogenomics, and fluid biomarkers
Innovation & challenges at the clinical/research interface
White matter visualisation and approaches to the ventricle
There will be a unique presentation of talks summarising the range of interests across Hydrocephalus and Brain Injury, and opportunities to interact with local and international faculty. The aims of the symposium are to:
1. Demonstrate working solutions to immediate clinical priorities and highlight gaps of unmet needs within Hydrocephalus & Brain Injury that may benefit from research collaborations
2. Foster understanding—
Amongst multidisciplinary hospital specialities, such as neurosurgery, neuroradiology, trauma, paediatrics, geriatrics, and rehabilitation, who encounter such patient cohorts across the entire spectrum.
Within the local community of neuroscientists with interests relevant to the pathophysiological mechanisms of Hydrocephalus and Brain Injury.
To advance the study of Hydrocephalus and Brain Injury by developing a common methodological language in diverse groups working across physics, bioengineering, human data analytics, and modelling of biological disease cohorts.
