If we don't, who's going to do it for us?M y Community runs free walking tours in some of the oldest neighbourhoods in Singapore including Tanglin Halt, Telok Blangah and Tiong Bahru. We also carry out cultural mapping exercises in Chinatown, Tekka and Kampong Glam where we befriend residents, conduct oral history interviews and map the intangible and tangible cultural assets within the community. These stories and experiences will eventually be presented in our guided tours and at My Community Festival.We are looking for new volunteers to help us run these tours and festival programmes.
