This is a guided coffee workshop designed for curious beginners and everyday coffee drinkers who want to better understand and enjoy their cup of coffee.
Over the 1.5 hours, you’ll be taken through a relaxed, interactive journey that blends hands-on brewing, guided tasting, and simple food pairing, all while learning what makes specialty coffee different from what we drink daily.
What the workshop covers:
1. Welcome & Coffee Orientation
We start with a short introduction to coffee—where it comes from, what “specialty coffee” really means, and how different roast styles and beans affect taste. No technical jargon, just enough context to help you taste coffee more intentionally.
2. Hands-On Brewing Session
Participants will get hands-on with manual brewing methods (such as pour-over), learning the basics of grind size, water, ratios, and technique. You’ll brew coffee yourself with guidance, rather than just watching a demonstration.
3. Guided Tasting & Sensory Exploration
As the coffee is brewed, we’ll slow down to taste together, learning how to identify flavours, aromas, and textures. You’ll be guided on how to describe what you’re tasting in a simple, approachable way (no prior tasting experience needed).
4. Coffee & Food Pairing
The experience is rounded off with a curated food pairing designed to highlight how coffee flavours change when enjoyed with different foods. This helps bring the tasting to life and shows how coffee can be enjoyed beyond just drinking it on its own.
5. Open Conversation & Q&A
The session ends with an open, conversational segment with questions, sharing observations, and practical tips you can take home to improve your daily coffee routine.
What you’ll walk away with:
No experience is required; just curiosity and a willingness to taste, brew, and explore!
