Glimpses of Tagore

Tagore Society proudly presents ‘Glimpses of Tagore’ on 24th March at the Indian Heritage Centre.

Highlights of the day long event include-

-An Award winning film on Tagore by the other most famous son of Bengal- Satyajit Ray.

-‘Tagore’s unique Scribble Art’ - an Art appreciation session with well known local artist Sarbani Bhattacharya. Herself an alumnus of Rabindrabharati University, Sarbani will take us through the process of how Tagore created his own ingenious artform. A hands on activity will help awaken the inner artist in each participant. Free but needs registration.

-Alpona Art workshop - learn how to create the traditional folk art form of Bengal.

-Melodious music by Amrita Bandopadhyaye and Group.

-Dances on Rabindrasangeet by the Parampara school.

All events are free for the public.
