Georgian cuisine is one of the world’s most underrated cuisines, featuring flavours from Greece and the Mediterranean, as well as influences from Turkey and Persia.
If you need an idea for an exotic dinner party and would like to surprise your diners with a healthy delicious meal join us for our Georgian Cooking Class!
We will start with SPINACH PKHALI – an appetizer made from spinach, walnuts and spices. This dish is very light and refreshing!
Georgian EGGPLANT ROLLS (NIGVZIANI BADRIJANI) will be our second appetizer – rolled eggplant with an aromatic filling, nutty and creamy! This is vegan finger food!
For the main course, we will prepare LOBIO. Red beans are the star ingredient of LOBIO (bean in Georgian), a kind of thick baked bean soup flavoured with various herbs and spices to make a rather unique dish.
This class will be fully hands-on, we will cook everything from scratch, and we hope that you will have a lot of fun!
You will learn how to prepare from scratch a healthy balanced meal. We will show you how to make wholesome ingredients the ‘star’ of your dish.
We will teach you how to build Georgian flavours from ingredients available in Singapore, so you can recreate this Georgian feast at home. As Georgian food culture with its long dinners, hospitality and special toasts are fascinating, we will also have a short intro to Georgian Cuisine. During our class, we will discuss the basics of plant-based nutrition so that you can gain an understanding of how to balance your diet.
About the Speaker: Ania Wojtkowska (Founder, )
Originally from Poland, Ania has been living in Singapore for seven years. In 2017, she started developing and expanding the awareness of healthy eating & plant-based diets. To promote her goal, she launched her company - LivingveggiebyAnia.
She graduated from Cornell’s Plant-Based Nutrition course by Dr. Colin Campbell. She also took Plant-based nutrition from Winchester University (UK). In addition, she has experience in numerous cooking schools across Asia and honed her culinary skills.
With easy-to-follow online cooking courses, nutritional workshops, private online consultations, and her Plant Power Academy - she spreads awareness about vegan food that it's not only healthy but tasty too! She will teach you that healthy food is easy to prepare and can change the quality of our life.
Implementing the same food philosophy, Ania is also a consultant for global restaurants where she helps develop and include vegan options in their menu.
