Theme: Self-Kindness
In this Calm Circles session, we’ll explore what it truly means to treat ourselves with the same care and understanding we offer others.
Together, we’ll pause to notice our inner dialogue, release self-judgment, and practice small ways to be gentler with ourselves—especially in moments of stress or uncertainty. Through honest sharing and reflection, we’ll remind each other that kindness begins within, and that self-compassion is not selfish—it’s essential.

Hear from our past participants:
“Calm Circles is a great space for people who need the human touch to come and connect, especially during this time when we need to be kind to ourselves and each other.”
“I was also very encouraged and pleasantly surprised at what an authentic and respectful conversation about feelings we can have with strangers in an Asian context.”
“I liked that it was an open and affirming space! It allowed everyone to share some things in their personal life that they recognised as points of pain and learning. The sharing also made it such a precious space of growth.”
Late arrival policy:
We kindly request all participants to arrive on time for the session, as late arrivals may disrupt any ongoing discussions. If you will be more than 20 minutes late, we suggest attending the next scheduled Calm Circles to ensure that you get the most out of the session without causing any inconvenience.
Info: The opening of each session will be guided by a lead facilitator who will help set the stage for the discussion by elaborating on the theme of the discussion and taking you through a grounding exercise that will help you prepare for the meaningful conversations ahead.
Info: Conversations in breakout groups of 6-8 facilitated by trained members of the Calm Collective Community. With a 5-minute breather in between.
Info: The lead facilitator will invite groups to share their reflections and key takeaways from the conversations. This segment aims to bring together the diverse experiences within the various breakout sessions.
Info: Time to say goodbye!
