Formerly a scientist with a PhD in Microbiology from Murdoch University, she entered monastic life in 2010 after learning the Buddha’s teachings under Ajahn Brahm’s guidance. She was ordained as a bhikhkuni in 2014 at Dhammasara Nuns Monastery.She is now the abbess of Santi Forest Monastery and Spiritual Director of the New Zealand Bhikhkuni Sangha Trust.
