Writing Yourself Out – for Teens

Join local published author, TJ Banks, in this writing class perfect for teens looking for more honest writing and creative exploration.

Everybody has a story to tell -- something that he or she really needs to write about. But many of us hesitate to put pen to paper because we think that writing is hard – that it’s all about grammar and about using words that are a mile long. We’ve been taught to write in a stiff, formal way that makes us sound like everybody else about the topics that everybody else has written about. What I want to do is help you find your own voice and write about people, places, and events that matter to you. Because when you write about the things you care about, you make your readers care, too.

This class is great for ages 12+.
