What is a Duck Race?  As a fundraiser we put 16,000 rubber duckies in a cage suspended above the bay in front of Old Towne Silverdale and drop them into the water.  Community members are invited to "adopt-a-duck" by supporting our efforts.  In addition to supporting the Community adopting ducks may result in you winning one of over 40 prizes!

Why?  Well, it raises money for the Community.  All funds from "adopting ducks" goes into a charitable trust.  The Silverdale Rotary spends the rest of the year donating the funds back to worthy causes in our Community.  Think scholarships, supporting food banks, helping other non-profits fulfill their mission.  Oh, and it's FUN!

When?  Sunday afternoon, July 26th (this Sunday), during Whaling Days along the Silverdale waterfront.  By the way:  Whaling Days is a fun, three-day Community festival which start Friday.  See their site for information on music, fireworks, vendors, and activities for the family.

How much are tickets and where can I get them?  Tickets are $10 per ticket or a "Quack Pack" -- 5 tickets -- for $35.  Tickets can be bought  in front of the Silverdale Safeway all week, at the Silverdale branch of Kitsap Bank, and at the Poulsbo branch of Liberty Bank.
