LIMESTONE CANYON ACCESS DAY!!!  
This place is usually CLOSED to the public — so when they unlock those gates, it’s basically Golden Ticket vibes. ?✨

I’ve never done this one before, but I’ve heard the trails are BEAUTIFUL — and our goal for this hike is The Sinks, the legendary “OC Grand Canyon.”  
People say it’s one of the coolest natural features in the county… so we’re going to go see it for ourselves!

I’m hosting a group hike on Saturday, Dec. 6th at 7:45 AM — and I would LOVE for you to join me! (Let’s be honest… I’m not trying to go find a canyon I’ve never seen before all by myself.)

The route to The Sinks is moderately challenging with rolling hills, open ridgelines, shaded canyon sections, and plenty of chances to spot wildlife. Since this area is rarely open, it’s a special chance to explore a protected wilderness with big views.

There is no guided group from the park, and I have NOT done this hike before — so we will be navigating to The Sinks together. We will not have a formal sweeper (unless someone volunteers), so please only join if you’re comfortable keeping a steady pace and sticking with the group.

START TIME: 8:00 AM sharp  
(The preserve is only open 8 AM–2 PM, so we need to start early for The Sinks.)

DESTINATION: The Sinks Viewpoint  
DISTANCE: ~7 miles round trip  
ELEVATION GAIN: ~900–1,000 ft  
DIFFICULTY: Moderate  
TIME: ~3–3.5 hours depending on group pace  
TRAIL: Dirt paths, rolling hills, some rocky sections  
RESTROOMS: Porta-potties at staging area only  
DOGS: Not allowed

WHAT TO BRING  
• Lots of WATER (seriously)  
• Snacks  
• Sun protection — hat + sunscreen  
• Comfortable hiking shoes  
• Optional: trekking poles  
• Optional: binoculars for wildlife  
• Chapstick, because of course
