The Wave is a guided somatic dance experience for self-expression, inner reflection, joy, and connection.For this special pop-up event, we are partnering with the Wellness Way Sarasota and Be Your Best Self & Thrive Counseling. We will begin the evening with a special talk from Dr. Jen with the Wellness Way focused on connecting with your health and well-being before moving into The Wave experience. Jill with Be Your Best Self & Thrive Counseling will have a table set up for those interested in learning more about holisitc mental health therapy services in Sarasota (your Wave facilitator is also a mental health therapist with BYBS).Unlike a traditional silent disco where dancers choose between different music channels, The Wave is a shared experience — everyone listens to the same music. Throughout the dance, guided prompts invite you to connect with yourself, your body, and the community around you.This dance journey includes moments of stillness and reflection, joy and celebration, playfulness and release, and everything in between. There is no right or wrong way to move — come as you are and move in whatever way feels authentic to you.This is an opportunity to:Release stress and reconnect with yourselfMove through emotions and make space for what you’re feelingEmbrace joy, creativity, and playConnect with community and the beauty of natureThis is a non-judgmental space to dance like no one is watching and express yourself authentically. Whether you are a seasoned dancer or just love to dance for fun, you are welcome here.This event is offered as a free community experience. Donations are not required, but if you feel called to support The Wave and help us continue creating these experiences, a suggested donation of $10-$25 per ticket is greatly appreciated and can be made in person via cash, venmo or zelle.
