Beginning Spinner Class — January 10–11, 2026
✨ Next weekend! ✨
Have you ever wanted to turn fiber into yarn with your own hands?
Join us for a one- or two-day immersive Beginning Spinning class where you’ll learn how to spin fibers like wool, alpaca, and flax into yarn you can actually use.
Day One is all about building a solid foundation.
We’ll explore the properties of wool, how fiber is prepared for spinning, and then—most importantly—we’ll spin. A lot. You’ll receive guided, hands-on instruction, and you will leave the first day able to spin yarn.
Day Two takes a deeper dive into the world of spinning.
We’ll explore spinning tools (combs, carders, swifts, and more), a wide range of fibers (including cotton, mohair, angora, and alpaca), and different preparation and spinning techniques—long draw, forward draw, woolen vs. worsted, combed vs. carded. We’ll also touch on dyeing your own fiber and briefly explore how spinning connects to weaving and felting.
Whether you come for one day or both, this class is designed to be approachable, hands-on, and empowering—perfect for beginners or anyone wanting a stronger foundation.
🧶 Spots are limited, and the class is next weekend—sign up soon!
