Celebrate like a Bavarian at Sierra Vista’s 29th Annual Oktoberfest on Friday, Sept. 12, and Saturday, Sept. 13, at Veterans Memorial Park! Join us under the big tent for German Oktoberfest Bier, hear our very own Oompah-pah German band, and enjoy German cuisine brought to you by our local Sister Cities association. DJ V will keep the party rocking throughout the festival in the Der Biergarten.
Friday and Saturday night from 7-10 pm Zero Gravity Fighters band will hit the pavilion stage to rock the park with your favorite Rock, Pop, R&B, and Country hits from the ‘70s to today. Plus we’ll have the artisan craft market, food trucks, and Sun Valley Rides Carnival throughout the entire festival.
On Saturday there will be activities for the whole family, starting at 8:30 am with the 2nd Annual Oktoberfest 5k Fun Run and Walk and post party. At 2 p.m. join the library staff for German and English stories “Hallo and Hello!”, from 2:30-4 p.m. come make a Bavarian Hat and pretzel Jewelry and participate in the Oktoberfest Scavenger Hunt around the park to win a pretzel. Then at 5 p.m. come to the Biergarten stage to join the stein holding contest.
